Collection: King of the Hill, 1998

Walking the hills of Haleakala over the years, I've been charged by so many angry bulls that I've developed a bull phobia. Today, I enter pastures with great caution, always looking behind and around at frequent intervals. I was diligently doing the above mentioned as I descended into a grand Haleakala pasture to soak up the view when suddenly, as if out of nowhere, a large bovine with his nose in the air pranced onto the hill above. I froze and wondered if I had a way out if he decided he didn't like my presence. In a few slow motion moments, he returned to grazing. I began sketching and this is the resulting painting.
