Where should I park to view the locations?

Most locations are near areas with ample shoulder area to pull over onto the side of the road and exit your vehicle. Please exercise caution when existing your vehicle or crossing the road. Please do not loiter in any parking location, since some of these locations require street parking for residents.

Will the locations look exactly like the paintings?

Not always. Landscapes change over time, and Curtis’s paintings reflect a specific moment, mood, and artistic interpretation. We have done our best to provide very specific directions to help you locate the exact frame of reference that inspired each painting.

How long does the driving tour take?

The driving route takes approximately 30 minutes, not including time at stops.
